Almost ready to open...

Get ready Iowa City, Coralville and all areas within a 50 mile radius of Hawkeye Central, this blog is almost ready to blow chunks on your food establishments.  This blog will provide helpful, insightful opinions on dining options in and around the Iowa City/Coralville area served up with healthy doses of humor and bile.  You typically wont see reviews of the tiny portion/huge price type restaurants but places that normal people eat.  You will be more apt to see a review of the new pizza at Happy Joe's than you will the latest trendy here-today-gone-later-today cafe or bistro.  Not that i don't appreciate fine dining, don't get me wrong, but I eat a lot more fast food than seven course meals so I write what I know.

I'll try to focus on three main areas:Food (quality, quantity and presentation), Service (speed, knowledge of staff, quality), and Atmosphere (decorating, cleanliness, etc.).  Each area will be scored by a number of stars from zero to five and then the final review score will be the average of the 3 areas.

I'm not a gourmand or a foodie or anything else.  Just a guy who enjoys food and would like to help others find, or avoid, restaurants in the area.
